Who we are

Our goal is to bring the love of Jesus to each and every kid elevating their life on and off the soccer field. Founded in Columbus Ohio, we hire coaches that bring the passion, experience, and knowledge, to enhance your child’s game. Our coaches are not just teachers, they are role models and leaders to develop your kid to do the same. We specialize in teaching the mental side of sports, while combining that with the modern game. While each coach may have a different delivery or area of expertise, the mission is the same: 

To empower young athletes to excel in soccer and life through Christ-centered coaching, transformative mental training, and a commitment to character and integrity.

It is important to address the question we get asked the most: “What exactly does CSA preach?” The short answer is nothing; we aren’t a church, and we aren’t pastors. Instead, we center our taught values and mindsets on biblical principles and scripture. We are not here to teach your kid the Bible, we are here to empower their performance and life with values that are found in scripture. We want to emphasize that any background of religion, politics, race, gender, sexual orientation, are welcome.

Jesus the Cornerstone

Jesus is the son of God and our lord and savior who died and rose from the dead for our sins. We welcome any student as mentioned, we are simply unapologetic about our love for Jesus. He anchors all of our values, and is quite truly the cornerstone of this business.

Inquisitive

Willingness to learn isn't just a value, it’s a requirement. This expectation is an integral part of the success formula and allows us to grow beyond our own expectations.

Integrity

This core value is visible through our entire supply chain; from the coaching, to the maintenance worker, to the student themself, we match our words with our actions.

Work Hard, Play Hard

You have heard this one before, but when it comes to high level training it’s crucial. Put in the work and reap the benefits; rest is just as important as work, so when it’s time to play, we like to have fun.

Process Mindset

It is crucial as development professionals to create a plan and trust the process. We accept that times will be tough and frustration can ensue, but we trust the path we are on because of our faith. 

What we require

At Cornerstone Soccer Academy, any skill level is welcome for our personal training, however we require “Three Wills” in order to foster true growth. These Wills create a pattern that allows concepts and lessons to stick rather than students shifting back to bad habits; that’s pretty much why we require them.

  • Seems like an odd thing to require, but without failure, learning can’t take place. It's okay to desire perfection, but the Will to Fail is based on seeing shortcomings as teaching moments. Students are expected to be pushed and fall short, how they react to that is the key.

  • Our staff is committed to help learn any concept no matter the struggle, however we cannot work with any student unwilling to listen and learn. We value being inquisitive, asking questions, and giving feedback, to improve the student coach dynamic.

  • We take pride in utilizing every minute to the best of our ability. The Coach and Student dynamic should create a hardworking culture during each and every session. As coaches, we give the student homework, because we know consistent practice create consistent results. Your investment starts with reflection of your kid, ensuring they are ready to take their growth seriously.
